( 01 ) — Mission

The disciplined life should taste like something.

Shaka Bros is a Chicago health-and-wellness company started by three friends who train hard and take their mornings seriously. We press ginger, apple and lemon by hand, bottle it in glass, and deliver it weekly — to the sunrise plunge, the gym floor, the start line.

Everything we make follows one rule: it has to earn a place in a routine that already works. Small, daily, and honest about what it does. Hang loose — and show up.

Functional fitness, first.01
Made by hand, in small runs.02
One shot. Every day.03
The 2 oz shot against the Chicago skyline
( 02 ) — The shot

Ginger. Apple. Lemon.
Nothing else.

Three ingredients, pressed the morning we deliver. No concentrate, no added sugar, no preservatives — the lemon does that work. Cold, in glass, in three sizes.

2 oz
The daily shot. Glass, black cap, taken cold before coffee.
750 mL
A week on the counter. Poured into recycled bourbon glass.
1.75 L
For the gym fridge and the run club. Recycled bourbon glass.
Why it works →
( 03 ) — The only math you need
1.01365
= 37.78

One percent better, every day, compounds to thirty-seven times — not thirty-seven percent. That is the whole program. Consistency and intensity in the training, and in what you put in your body.

“The curse of discipline is that every day looks the same. The curse of indiscipline is that every year does.”
A line we live by
( 04 ) — The ritual

A day, with Shaka.

Product 01 · Now

Wake. One shot.

Two ounces of ginger, apple and lemon, cold, before coffee. Ginger for the gut and the soreness from yesterday; lemon for the vitamin C. The smallest promise of the day, kept first.

Product 02 · In development

Two to three hours out. Beetroot.

Dietary nitrate takes time to become nitric oxide. Beetroot capsules taken well before the session — better blood flow, better muscle efficiency when the work gets hard.

Product 03 · In development

Twenty minutes out. Honey.

Fast carbohydrate for the heavy set, the way CrossFit athletes have used it for years — a packet before the lift, another between events on a long day.

Community

Friday. The plunge.

The lake is cold and the coolers are full. This is where Shaka Bros started — handing shots to people who got up early to do something hard together.

Shaka Bros — The products

Evidence is the ingredient list.

Three products, in order. Each one earns its place the same way — a known mechanism, human data, and a time of day where it fits a routine that already works. For the high-performance athlete and the person building a daily habit.

Ginger, apple, lemon shot
2 oz · 750 mL · 1.75 LGlass
Product 01 · On the waitlist now
Morning

Ginger · Apple · Lemon

Fresh ginger root, whole apple and lemon, pressed the morning we deliver. No concentrate, no added sugar. The acid in the lemon does the preserving; the cold does the rest.

Ginger
Gingerols and shogaols. Studied in humans for post-exercise muscle soreness and for digestive comfort — the reason it sits at the start of the day.
Lemon
Vitamin C and the brightness that makes raw ginger drinkable. Also the natural preservative in the bottle.
Apple
Polyphenols and natural sweetness. Whole fruit, not juice from concentrate — nothing added to make it go down.
For the athlete

A daily anti-inflammatory habit around hard training. Take it on waking, or thirty minutes before the session.

For the routine

Digestion, immune support, and the first promise of the day kept before coffee. Two ounces. Every morning.

Product 02 · In development
2–3 h pre-training

Beetroot capsules

Beetroot and lemon, all natural, in a capsule. Beetroot is one of the richest food sources of dietary nitrate, which the body converts to nitric oxide — the molecule that widens blood vessels and lets working muscle do more with the oxygen it gets.

Mechanism
Nitrate → nitrite → nitric oxide. Vasodilation, lower oxygen cost of exercise, and improved muscle efficiency — measured in endurance and high-intensity intermittent work.
Dose
The research uses 300–600 mg of dietary nitrate; well-trained athletes often need up to ~800 mg. Taken two to three hours before training, when blood nitrite peaks.
Format
Capsule (size finalising). A liquid form is under consideration for the weekly delivery.
Product 03 · In development
20–30 min pre-lift

Raw honey

Carbohydrate for the work itself. Honey is roughly 17 grams of carbohydrate per tablespoon — glucose for now, fructose for later — which is why lifters and CrossFit athletes take it before a heavy session and between events on a long day.

Mechanism
Fast-available glucose raises energy output in the set; fructose is released more slowly and holds it. No powders, no artificial sweeteners.
When
Twenty to thirty minutes before the lift. During long sessions, a packet every forty-five to sixty minutes.
Format
Single-serve packets, for the gym bag. Sold alone or bundled with the shot and the capsules.

Shaka Bros — Brand ambassadors

Shaka Athletes.

We back the people who show up — functional fitness, CrossFit, Hyrox, the sprint track, the kettlebell floor. Trainers, strength coaches and athletes with a community that listens when they talk about how they train.

01 — Trains hard

High intensity, functional.

CrossFit, Hyrox, sprinting, strength. If your training has a clock and a barbell in it, you already understand the product.

02 — Shows up

1.01, every day.

Consistency over hype. We look for people whose year is built from days that look the same.

03 — Brings people

A community that listens.

A class you coach, a club you run, a feed people actually read. Reach matters less than trust.

What's in it

We take care of our own — the shots, the events, the community. The details are a conversation, not a form.
